The housing is for persons with Down's syndrome, atypical autism, epilepsy, fragile x-syndrome and multiple psychiatric diseases. All residents need help or support for all daily doings. It is important to create a structured and predictable environment for the residents.
The aim of the social workers' effort is, in co-operation with the resident, to organize an everyday routine in a way that makes him or her able to live according to own wishes and needs. The individual needs are taken into consideration but also the need for social togetherness is very important, and is a big part of our work.
Co-operation with persons who have influence and impact on the residents is very important. This is contact with family, friends and sweethearts, but also nurses, doctors and occupational therapist.
